It's time for another sing-along. Today it is our nod to one of the great kinda, country/western, crossover hits. Sing along to Passionate Kisses with Mary Chapin Carpenter.

More Random Thoughts

Free college tuition! To appeal to the younger generation (and socialists of every age), Candidate Bernie Sanders promoted the idea of free college tuition. Candidate Hillary Clinton has hinted at the same idea. Free college tuition!

So... just how would that work? Would tens of thousands of PhD. professors voluntarily agree to teach... without pay? Would publishing companies provide textbooks at no charge? Would new classrooms, labs, libraries, and theatres suddenly appear without cost?

Just how would that “free college tuition” work?

Eye Remember... October 17, 1967:

Though it was far off, off, off-Broadway, it made it. On October 17, 1967, the musical hair made its debut.

It was only fitting. Hair was, for its time, far, far out there.

Nonetheless, the musical made quite a mark, and has been “in play” ever since.

In addition to the traditional Pumpkins on Parade, exclusively at BBHQ, two weeks from today, we'll offer a plethora of Halloween features.

Here is a taste of what's in store:

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
Vehicle Inspection

Seemingly offensive at first, actually this makes a lot of sense.

I had moved to South Carolina from New York, and at that time, a vehicle inspection was required to register my car. I was nervous. My car was in rough shape. I remembered New York State's rigorous inspections. Any number of problems might turn up that would be expensive to fix.

I drove down a country road and found a garage that had an inspection sign. When I told the mechanic what I needed, he circled the car, turned on the lights and honked the horn.

Then he attached a new sticker and asked me for the twelve dollar fee. I was shocked. "Is that all you have to do"? I asked.

He answered, "Well, you drove it here, didn't you"?

Have a great week. We'll share the fun again next Monday.
