A BBHQ Insta-Quote:

Curiosity is the very basis of education. And if you tell me that curiosity killed the cat, I say only the cat died nobly.

Monday we offer the exciting finish to "Wet Dream."

And no; it is not at all what you probably think. It is much funnier than that.

Signs, Signs; Everywhere a Sign

Driving down the roads today sure is different than it was when we were kids. Oh, yeah; there have always been stop signs and yield signs. But that's just the basics.

Remember the story about Falling Rock, the poor Indian squaw who had a terrible sense of direction. One day she went to fetch water, got lost, and never returned. That is why, to this very day, you'll see road signs all across the country asking for your help: "Watch for Falling Rock."

Well, it was funny when I was 12.

Road signs are informative, instructive, but often confusing. This one leaves me completely dumbfounded.
And breathless.

Exactly what is an “oxygen pedestrian”? And why should I care?

I Remember... May 16, 1964:

In 1962, Motown founder Berry Gordon signed a wanna-be songwriter named Mary Wells to a contract with his fledgling company. The hitch was that he wanted her to sing, not write. Two years later, Mary Wells provided Motown with its first #1 hit when “My Guy” reached the top of the Billboard pop chart on May 16, 1964.

The BBHQ Trivia Teaser

Here are three questions from the BBHQ cloud:

1. First, our current events question:
Irrefutable evidence that things have gotten way out of control, who'd have thought that government interference of bathroom rules would be a campaign issue? No, that's not the question. This ridiculous bru-ha-ha came about as a result of a law passed in what state?

      New York
      California
      Texas
      Florida
      North Carolina
      Confusion

2. It's from a classic boomer-era song. Surely you can complete the last line, the title of the song:

I'm just mad about Saffron,
Saffron's mad about me.
I'm a-just mad about Saffron,
She's just mad about me.
They call me

3. "My name is Jimmy Carter, and I'm running for president." And run, he did. And win, he did. Who was Jimmy Carter's vice president?

The BBHQ Joke of the Week

A friend of mine mentioned that she had an appointment with her son's Spanish-immersion kindergarten teacher. I knew that regular parent-teacher meetings were not due for a while, and when I asked if there was a problem, she related a conversation that she had with her son.

"Mom I can speak three languages now!" he said excitedly.

"Three?" she questioned.

"Yes" he replied proudly. "English, Spanish and Inappropriate."

Have a great week. We'll share the fun again next Monday!
