In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of the confidence in man, but bind him down by the chains of the Constitution.

Revenge of the Swamp Creatures

We updated our essay on the revenge of the swamp creatures, which explains what is going on in both Washington and in various other hot spots in the country.

Candidate Clinton’s Snowflakes were in denial. They were angry; they were furious! This could not be possible. Something rotten stole the election from them. Fraud in the ballot counting; the Russians; FBI Director Comey. Somebody robbed them.

But despite their protestations and their many attempts to overturn the result, they failed.

We added an amazing video which shows how one of the Snowflakes reacted to a pro-Trump rally:

Count Your Blessings
Having a tough time? Count your blessings; it could be a whole lot worse. You could be an Amish farmer in Pennsylvania last week taking your eggs to market.

Eye Remember... March 20, 1985:

March 20, 1985 was a great day for the advancement of women. Libby Riddles "left those guys in the dust," and became the first woman to win the grueling Iditarod Dog Sled Race in Alaska.

The BBHQ Trivia Teaser & Subscriber Evaluation
Here are three questions from the BBHQ cloud:

1. First, our current events question:
A professor at the university of Arizona has written guidelines for the faculty to instruct their students to say, "Ouch," when they are offended by something that was said in the classroom. The correct follow-up response by the defender? "Oops."

Fake News? True or false?

No; you are just being ridiculous; it's fake.
Yes, sad, but true.

2. This is not fair.... but life's not fair; get used to it.
As referenced in this week's essay, since 1961, the Democrats have controlled the presidency, the House, and the Senate eight times -- 16 years. Prior to January 20 of this year, when was the last time the Republicans had such an advantage? What year was it?

3. We're going to focus on girls' names here in the trivia section... until... until we run out of girls. We have binders full of them. This is a Chuck Berry classic:

_________, why can't you be true?
Oh ________, why can't you be true?
You've started back doing the things you used to do.

Pink in the mirror on top of the hill,
it's just like swallowin' up a medicine pill.
First thing I saw that Cadillac grille
doin' a hundred and ten gallopin' over that hill.
      Offhill curve, a downhill stretch,
me and that Cadillac neck by neck.

Who's the "girl"?

Grade our Newsletter: How did we do this week?

      C: So-so.

There are no prizes here... it's just for fun.

"Brush Up Your Webster," featuring Madam Red Dot
Madam Red Dot Returns!

My theme this year is brevity. If you have little or nothing to say, say little or nothing. Thus my absence from the newsletter these many months.

In the spirit of brevity, may I suggest the utmost restrained use of the word "even"? You've seen the ads on TV for the disaster recovery company: "Like it never even happened."

What does the word "even" add to that phrase?

Nothing, of course. So, leave it out.

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
A man knocked on my door and asked for a donation toward the local swimming pool. So I gave him a glass of water.
