This Week with the Chicowitz

Revenge of the Swamp Creatures

Cut EPA funding by 50%! Cut the State Department staff! The man who wanted to eliminate the Department of Energy is now in charge of the Department of Energy! This has never happened before. No president has ever dared try. What’s worse, generally, the “basket of deplorables” out there in flyover country are with him. Never before has the entire establishment been so threatened. They are really scared.

Please understand: the attempt to destroy Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not about Jeff Sessions. It is about the survival of the swamp creatures.

Count Your Blessings
Having a tough time? Relax; it could be a whole lot worse. You could have been part of (or behind) a 30-car pileup Friday afternoon on I-81 in Pennsylvania:

Count your blessings... every day!

Eye Remember... March 6, 1981:

After a career spanning 74 years, the CBS New anchor Walter Cronkite signed off for the last time on March 6, 1981.

On his last broadcast, "the most trusted man in America" said, "This is but a transition... a passing of the baton."

Nonetheless, many of us saw it as the end of the last great evening news anchors.

And that's the way it was, Friday, March 6, 1981.

And now, a word from our sponsor:

2. We're going to focus on girls' names here in the trivia section... until... until we run out of girls. We have binders full of them. This one is from a top-10 song in 1977 by a huge star:

      You picked a fine time to leave me, ______;
      with four hungry children, and a crop in the field.
      I've had some bad times,
      lived through some sad times;
      but this time your hurting won't heal.
      You picked a fine time to leave me, _______.

Who's the girl?

3. has been shown to be an effective, decay-preventive dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular, professional care.

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
This guy was the valedictorian at the police academy:

A police officer jumps into his squad car and calls the station.

"I have an interesting case here," he says. "A woman shot her husband for stepping on the floor she just mopped."

"Have you arrested her?" asks the sergeant.

"No, not yet. The floor's still wet."
