Trust is equal parts character and competence. You can look at any leadership failure, and it's always a failure of one or the other.

We're on a Mission of Love

This week I’d like to share some of the lyrics from a couple dozen love songs of the boomer era. Together, they give you a “feel” for our music. Either as a reminder or as a new experience, the conclusion you will reach is inescapable. We enjoyed the best romantic, love songs of any time in history.

Eye Remember... February 13:

We have nothing to celebrate today except birthdays... which is reason enough!

February 13 is the birth date of Tennessee Ernie Ford (1919), Chuck Yeagar (1923), Kim Novak (1933), George Segal (1934), Carol Lynley (1942), Stockard Channing (1944), and Peter Gabriel (1950), the only boomer in the group.

Pretty good day, huh?

And now, a word from our sponsor:

"Usually it takes months to get a computer system going. Ours was running six weeks after they rolled it in."

The BBHQ Trivia Teaser & Subscriber Evaluation
Here are three questions from the BBHQ cloud:

1. First, our current events question:
Which one of the Mensa members of the Washington establishment said this last week?

He [Putin] is responsible for supplying the bombs that killed innocent children in... ah... in... ah... yeah; Aleppo. And the fact that he [Trump] is wrapping his arms around Putin, uh, while, uh, Putin is continuing to advance into... Korea.

Nancy Pelosi
Maxine Waters
Rachel Maddow
Dan Quayle

2. We're going to focus on girls' names here in the trivia section... until... until we run out of girls. We have binders full of them. Here's our next one, though it is embarrassingly easy:

     _______ Rigby
picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
     Lives in a dream
     Waits at the window,
wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
     Who is it for?
     All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?

Who's the girl?

3. This could go in our Places and Locales section. But it's a toughie. Where did the Flintstones live?
Here; maybe this will help:
     Flinstones, meet the Flintstones,
     They're the modern, stone-age family,
     From the, town of ,
They're a place right out of history.

Grade our Newsletter: How did we do this week?
      A: Great! Lottsa' fun.

      B: Pretty good.

      C: So-so.

      D: Eh... not so good.

      F: A swing and a miss.

What say you? Comments for the good of the order:

There are no prizes here... it's just for fun.

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
We're treading in dangerous territory here. But it's worth it. We call this one "Perspective."

An old cowboy dressed in a cowboy shirt, hat, jeans, spurs and chaps went to a bar and ordered a drink.

As he sat there sipping his whiskey, a young lady sat down next to him. After she ordered her drink she turned to the cowboy and asked him, "Are you a real cowboy?"

"Well, I have spent my whole life on the ranch herding cows, breaking horses, mending fences... I guess I am," replied the cowboy.

After a short while he asked her what she was.

"I've never been on a ranch so I'm not a cowboy, but I am a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As soon as I get up in the morning I think of women, when I eat, shower, watch TV, everything seems to make me think of women," told the young woman.

A short while later she left and the cowboy ordered another drink. A couple sat down next to him and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"

"I always thought I was, but I just found out that I'm a lesbian."
