A BBHQ Insta-Quote:

Football is not a contact sport, it's a collision sport. Dancing is a contact sport.

A football coach's main problem is that he is responsible to irresponsible people.

Of all the Super Bowl ads, we are partial to the ones by the King of Beers. This is episodes 1-3 of the Budweiser Frogs series. Very cute; extremely well done.

The Day the Music Died

You have to be an early boomer to have any direct recollection of Charles Hardin Holley - yeah; that's Buddy Holly. Those of us who are feel a special closeness to his music. Though most of the 76 million boomers appreciate his music and his contribution to real rock and roll. We think of him as "our own."

To some, it was the day the music died. To others, it marked only the end of the beginning... the beginning of real rock 'n roll.

Eye Remember... February 5:

It was a very big day for subjects of the British Throne. On February 3, 1952, at age 25, Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth. Today she celebrates 65 years as Queen.

Over here in the states, we celebrate February 3 as the birth date of Babe Ruth, Ronald Reagan, Mike Farrell, Tom Brokaw, Bob Marley, and Natalie Cole.

And now, a word from our sponsor:

BBHQ Rules of the Road: One we left out last month: Our web site is designed to work best on devices with a real, full-size monitor; you know, a desktop or laptop. It will work on the baby devices, but not as well. If you have trouble accessing our web site on a midget screen, let us know. We'll try to find a work-around.

In 2011, Dennis Pager co-founded, with Allen Estrin, Prager University, an institution of higher learning on the Internet with a unique difference -- all the courses are five minutes long. The courses distill the best ideas of the best minds in the world and cover the disciplines of Political Science, History, Philosophy/Religion, Economics and Psychology.

There are no degrees at Prager U, but there are also no tuition fees. That's right; the dozens of courses at Prager University are all free of charge and available to anyone with an Internet connection.

This week we feature the course titled, "Where Your Electricity Comes From." .

The courses are thought-provoking, interesting, informative, and extremely well done. The home page for Prager University is here .

We feature a different course every week.

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
Last weekend, Betty-Lou went to a party preceding a celebrity golf tournament. Several of the famous athletes who were playing in the tournament were at the door greeting guests. Among them was Hall of Famer Joe Montana. Shaking Betty-Lou's hand, he said, "Hi! Joe Montana."

The poor lady didn't have a clue. So, in all sincerity, she extended her hand and said, "Hi! Betty-Lou. Minnesota."

Have a great week. We'll share the fun again next Monday.
