A BBHQ Insta-Quote:

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.    ~ Groucho Marx BBHQ

Here is a tale to make your cresh fleep.
It'll give you poose gimples.

It's a story for fee bolk and biggle toe peep.
(That's wee folk and bigger people too.)

It's a story about Cinderella who lived in a big hark douse,
With her mean old mepstother and her two sisty uglers.

Always remember this little philosophy:

You see some of our smoubles are trall,

And some of our boubles are trig,

But if you try to trav no houbles,

How could we blecognize our ressinings?

I Remember... January 18, 1990

"Damn witch set me up!" (Or something like that.)

On January 18, 1990, Washington, DC Mayor Marion Barry was caught by police doin' crack with da' witch.

Justice is served, more or less. The mayor served 6 month in jail. But he was hardly scarred. The wise people of the district elected him to the city council, and then as mayor of the district.

It is true: we get the government we deserve... which is, too often, mighty lousy.

The BBHQ Trivia Teaser

Here are three questions from the BBHQ cloud:

1. First, our current events question: Over 700 enemy combatants have been detailed in Gitmo. Several have been "relocated." Rapidly on the way to zero, the number detained has dwindled down to about how many as of today?
      600
      400
      200
      100
      007

2. This year we are going to introduce some trivia from great Broadway musicals of the boomer era that found their way to Hollywood. True, blue and alert boomers should know these. Here's a line from a wonderful show:
"Please sir; I want some more."
What is the name of the musical/movie.

3. Here's another one:
"Hey; I'm depraved on account of I'm deprived."

There are no prizes here... it's just for fun.

If the submit button does not work for you, you can take the quiz online by clicking here.

The BBHQ Joke of the Week

When I go to casinos, the most ridiculous sign I see is the one that says: "If you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER."

Well, I had a problem, of sorts. So I dialed the number. When they answered I said, "I have an ace and a six. The dealer has a seven. What do I do?"

Have a great week. We'll share the fun next Monday.
