Rules of the Road: Each week this month, we'll remind you of some of the rules of the road at BBHQ.

Privacy: We will never provide the data you enter at BBHQ to anybody. Never.

No Spam: We will send you no spam... not ever. Not the delicious canned kind; not the malicious electronic kind. No spam.

BBHQ is a family-friendly site. If it would embarrass or offend my mother, it does not make it to BBHQ.

Take Care of Yourself

Ya’ know who else I am angry at? Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets and the backbone of the entire Muppet empire. Jim Henson died in 1990; he was 53. Do you remember how he died? Pneumonia. You’re not supposed to die of pneumonia when you’re 53. He developed a bad cold, but delayed seeking treatment. By the time he finally went to a hospital, it was too late. If he had gotten there 10 hours earlier, he would probably be alive today. But he didn’t. He didn’t take care of himself.

“I think he knew there was a possibility he was dying,” said his widow, Jane. “And that possibly was why he didn’t want to go to a doctor. He really didn’t want anyone else to be disturbed by his pain.”

I don’t care; I am still angry at him.

He “didn’t want anyone else to be disturbed” — ??? No. No!

Eye Remember... January 9, 1965:

"Bond... James Bond." It was the U.S. opening of what many consider to be the best of the James Bond films, "Goldfinger." Among the many stars of the movie was the Aston Margin DB5.

The Aston Martin was featured in other movies in the Bond series. But most boomers remember this one best.

And now, a word from our sponsor:

"We're Pushing Leotards"

This year we are replacing the BBHQ Christmas Wish List with courses available at Prager University, an online institution of higher learning with a unique difference – all the courses are five minutes long. There are no degrees, but there are also no tuition fees. That's right; the dozens of courses at Prager University are all free of charge and available to anyone with an Internet connection.

This week we feature the course titled, "Every High School Principal Should Say This." .

The courses are thought-provoking, interesting, informative, and extremely well done. The home page for Prager University is here .

We'll feature a different course every week.

The BBHQ Trivia Teaser & Subscriber Evaluation
Here are three questions from the BBHQ cloud:

1. First, our current events question:
NYPD reported that there were 334 homicides in New York last year. LAPD data shows that there were 294 homicides in LA. About how many homicides were there in Chicago, the nation's 3d largest city?

750

2. From a classic boomer-era song, complete the last line:

Do you love me? (Do you love me?)
Do you love me? (Do you love me?)
Do you love me? (Do you love me?)
Now... that I... can

3. "Houston we've had a problem." That's a famous line from which Apollo flight number?

The BBHQ Joke of the Week
Author, columnist, and all-around brainy lady Marilyn Vos Savant answers readers' questions in Parade magazine (now available online). A while back she posted some of the more unusual (and we think, amusing) questions. Here are some of them:

Why are the Three Musketeers always depicted with swords? Why not muskets?

I notice that global warming increased after daylight saving time started in 1974. Well, duh. More daylight is going to make the world hotter, isn't it?

If a person held up a mirror facing a TV camera, could someone at home see his reflection in it?

Have a great week. We'll share the fun again next Monday.
